MC3 Formula 1 Championship

Race Format:

The Championship will consist of 10 races and the best of 8 races will count toward the championship.

The race will be held only Saturday on the race weekend.

It will consist of one 30---45 min qualifying session where only the fastest lap counts toward the starting grid. (Depending on the number of entry, 6 people will be one 30 min session and 8 people will be one 45 minutes session)

The race will be one 10 minutes race.

Depending on the number of entry, there may be more than one main. With 8 people, there will be 2 mains each with 4 entries. The winner of B---main will be able to advance to the A---main final. If there are only 6 entries, there will be only 1 main with 6 cars.

Point’s allocation:

The point allocation will be as follows:

Finished Position Points
1st 10
2nd 6
3rd 4
4th 3
5th 2
6th 1

The top qualifier will be awarded 2 Points counted toward the Championship.

Technical regulation:

  • Kyosho Mini Z Formula chassis is required.
  • Unlimited aftermarket upgrade parts
  • Unlimited motor
  • Unlimited battery
  • Unlimited tire (as long as rubber tire, no foam tire)
  • Front wing, Rear wing and open wheel are required
  • Plastic body is required

Fee: $5 per race per person on top of the regular track fee of $15

(All entry fee will used for prize and lucky draw at the end of the championship)

Prize:

1st Place $80
2nd Place $40
3rd Place $20

At the end of the last race, there will be a lucky draw of 5 equal prize calculated as follows

Assuming there are 8 entries.

(Total Pot --- $80 --- $40 --- $20)/5

The no of lucky draw prize is calculated by the number of people who attended at least 8 races minus 3.

All racers required to attended at least 8 races in order to be eligible for the lucky draw.

The prize will be a form of gift certificate of the above amount redeemable at MC3.

Race Rule:

Cleaning Racing: Due to the opening wheel nature of the formula mini z and to promote clean racing, flipped over car will not be allowed to continue and will be counted as DNF for the race. The logic behind this is when someone try to force a pass, there will be a 50% chance of him flipping over and receive no point. Therefore anyone will try to pass cleanly for the fear of flipping over. The same logic applied the person who is being pass; especially those who tried to defend with hopeless/dangerous maneuver, there is a 50% chance of flipping over for him too.

Race start: To provide longer straight for start and not to penalize the top qualifier, the slowest qualifier will line up at the last position on the left side of the straight and the second slowest will line up one place in front, on the right side of the track. Assistance will be provided by racer who is not in that main, if required.

Jump---start: The start will be restarted if racer/s who clearly jumped the start and will be moved to the back of the grid.

ANY SUGGESTIONS TO THE ABOVE ARE WELCOME.
